Kosha means “sheath or layer”, also known as “Pancha Kosha”. The Upanishads describe Kosha as sheaths or layers that encompass both our physical and subtle bodies. These layers begin with the physical body, known as “Annamaya Kosha,” and progress inward to the most subtle aspect of ourselves, the “Anandmaya Kosha.”
The other three layers, “Pranamaya,” “Manomaya,” and “Vijnanamaya,” are part of the subtle body. Understanding these five Koshas can aid in our spiritual and psychological development, as we move towards self-realization and a deeper connection with the Self.
At Kosha Intehrated yoga, yoga is a powerful tool for cultivating a deeper relationship with our inner Self. My approach encompasses all aspects of the mind and body through a variety of practices, including Asanas, Kriyas, Pranamayam, and OM chanting.
