An Amalgamation of the graceful Mohiniyattam And Aggressive Kalaripayettu .The two art forms one classical and other martial explores the similarities and contrasts of these two major art forms from the region of kerala. The Lasya or the feminine grace of Mohiniyattam and Masculinity of kalaripayettu brings together a story of a Veera -A warrior and Nari – A beautiful Maiden. The Shakthi is a beautifully choreographed production without compromising the Aesthetics of both the art forms. the graceful Nritta ,Angika Abhinaya I e pure dance and Satvika abhinaya I e is the facial expressions are juxtaoposed to the martial, masculine and aggressive Kalaripayettu.
Radhika Menon
Radhika Menon, one of the founders and trustees of International Academy of Mohiniyattam, is the daughter & disciple of Guru Jayaprabha Menon – Mohiniyattam exponent & choreographer. Guru Jayaprabha Menon is the Founder Director of International Academy of Mohiniyattam. Radhika was initiated to Bharatanatyam by Guru Kalamandalam Saraswathy and later under the guidance of Kalamandalam Vinodini in Calicut, Kerala. Radhika received training in Carnatic music under Guru Sudha Raghuraman and Guru Vasanthi Rao, New Delhi, and is currently continuing the training under the guidance of Smt. Subhashree Parthasarathy, Chennai. She was initiated to Mohiniyattam by her mother Guru Jayaprabha Menon. She has also undergone intensive training in abhinaya under Guru G. Venu. Radhika is an advocate by profession and a business law consultant. She is very passionate about both her professions and balances both well.
